Ranking Ben And Jerry’s Ice Cream From Worst to Best!

Did you know that the world's largest ice cream sundae was 27 102 pounds? This was done with none other than the family favourite, Ben and Jerry’s ice cream! Ben and Jerry’s which came from a renovated gas station in Burlington, Vermont in 1978 has become legendary as the ice cream is euphoric. It has now grown into a 98 flavour ice cream empire.

Now, what does one who loves Ben and Jerry’s and has spare time and money on their hands do? Obviously decide to head to the local grocery store freezer section and buy seven different pints of their infamous ice cream flavours to put to the ultimate test: Which of the most well-known Ben and Jerry’s ice cream flavour is the best? I will be giving my completely honest review on each flavour that I taste test.

Upon walking into the grocery store, here are the seven flavours I picked up that will be competing to please my taste buds: Brownie Batter Core, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Cherry Garcia, Strawberry Jammin’, Netflix & Chill’d, Churr-en for Churros and Salted Caramel Almond.

7. Netflix & Chill’d

Now where to even with this absolutely disgraceful flavour to humankind. This monstrosity definitely should not be your go to grab when wanting to “Netflix and chill.” Peanut butter and pretzel already sound like a match made in hell, and with the consistency of ice cream... for sure not a taste from heaven either. Can't get any worse? Wait till’ the after taste. Enough said.

6. Salted Caramel Almond

When sounding like a pretty promising and delicious flavour, some are just not to be trusted. Amongst entering the taste zone, you begin to ask yourself; “Where is the caramel?” It truly tastes like an almost plain vanilla ice cream with the additional one or two chunks of almonds every five scoops, which is not nearly enough to live up to its name.

5. Brownie Batter Core

Ben and Jerry’s are known for its amazing core ice cream flavours. When hearing of a worldwide favourite dessert, brownies, you think of the times that you would mix that beautiful brown batter in the mixing bowl. You remember wanting to take a lick off the spatula before putting the tray in the oven. When taking a bite out of the square, the taste spreads all over your tongue coating the inside of your mouth with the rich, creamy chocolate flavour. However, the ice cream flavour does this sensational feeling little to no justice, making the ice cream experience overall mediocre at most. With the high expectations for this one, it was truly sad to see all the potential flood away.

4. Churr-en for Churros

We are nearing the top three! Churr-en for Churros tastes exactly like Cinnamon Toast Crunch. The texture is what sells this ice cream and makes it stand out from the ordinally. There is a close to perfect ice cream and churro bits ratio that makes it a true pleasure to eat. Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal lovers, this one is the one for you, the perfect match. As a fan myself, obviously I was very excited to feast upon this scoop, however I will not allow myself to be biased, nor will I not give this flavour the recognition
