Dear Mr DuffyDuck,

I am writing in response to the classroom assistant opening advertised in your website. With over six years of teaching in primary and secondary schools in Geneva, I have accumulated a wide range of teaching skills and knowledge as well as a real awareness of learners’ needs and learning strategies. I am attentive and able to take initiatives with individual needs of students, which, I believe will make me an ideal candidate for the above advertised position.

The enclosed resume will highlight my career accomplishments and demonstrate my solid creative and instructional capabilities. My experience as a young mother combined with my teaching opportunities over the past 6 years have developed highly effective communication skills and teaching methods. These experiences have allowed me to educate all types of learners of different age groups, in an engaging and positive learning environment. Besides the planning and elaboration of lessons and activities, I have also been involved in staff and student management.

I believe my teaching experience has helped me develop a quick understanding and assessment of student needs and therefore tailor individual lesson plans to accommodate multiple intelligences through an inclusive learning environment that ensures maximum success. Furthermore, I have always conscientiously invested in establishing good rapport with my students.

I strongly believe in cultivating and sustaining strong working relationships with members of the school community and collaboration with fellow teachers and health professionals to develop new activities and refine teaching techniques. Being accepted in your institution will be a great opportunity to become part of a team of teachers who are undergoing huge new challenges of redefining ‘schooling’ under the ongoing health crisis we are facing here and worldwide.
