An activist for the protection of the environment convinced that hamburgers and processed food will destroy the planet
- Introduction Nacho:
Hi, my name is Cedric Smith. I am 33 years old, I’m married and have 2 children. I work in a water company called “Scottish water”. And I wrote a book about this subject.

Explain your point of view and the reasons why you think that way?

What can we do to save the planet?

How processed food can really impact the environment?
There are 2 main impacts:
- There is the food transportation, we say: “the food miles” is the distance that your food travels from where it is made to where it is eaten (average of 1300 miles).
- There is the food production, the growing method (pesticides, fertilizer) affect the quality of the soil and the quantity of the local water supply.
- Conclusion Nacho:
