THE WEDDING FOR EVERYBODY
I decided to speak about the law on the wedding for people of the same sex.
On the picture, we can see two men and two women who have just got married.
The photo is taken in front of the city hall which confirms the weddings.
PRESENTATION OF THE LAW :
The law for the wedding for people of the same sex was voted by the French government in May,2013.
This law allows to two women or two men to get married and to adopt a child. Until 2013, it was forbidden.
Our country is the fourteenth country to open the wedding to the homosexual couples and the ninth in Europe.
MY OPINION :
This law has know a strong opposition in France by people who are very attached to the traditional family : a baby with a father and a mother ! I don’t understand so many oppositions. This new law deprives nothing to the traditional families and will concern only very few people. Numerous people came down in streets in big cities with their children to express their refusal of this law. They were shocked by the law. As far as I’m concerned, I think that what is shocking it is to walk in the street with children.
As for me, I agree with this new law. Why ? Because I think that the homosexuals always existed but they hid and I am for the equality between people.
Then the question of the adoption by homosexual couples.
According to my opinion, I think that a children will be also happy with two men or two women. Today, a lot of children live only with their father or their mother further to a divorce. And for a long time a single person could adopt a child. Then why two people of the same sex could not dot it ?
It is not more disturbing for a child to be brought up by two people of the same sex than by a single person. The important is that the child is loved by his parents.
This law is a sign of modernity for France that follows a lot of countries around the world that have adopted the same law.
