ABSTRACT

Our study, House Rain Sensitive Window (HRSW) includes electrical components like resistors, transistors, trimmers, relays capacitors, LEDs, switches, electrical wires, transformer, dynamo and the rain sensor which were all organised and built as a prototype. These electrical components were made into a rain sensor system that automatically allow the closing of a house window once the printed circuit board or rain sensor is triggered by rain

(Water drops).

This study will be of much help in lawn sprinkler systems and electric window/skylight operators. These sensors are typically a variation of exposed electrical contacts that rely on rain water to close the circuit. Simple, cheap, and effective. However not maintenance free. This system is intended to keep our interior comfortable and free from wetness caused by rainfall. Being away is no more going to be a hassle for forgetful people and also suddenly changed weather. Mechanical and electronics skills were applied in the construction of the device. The device will contribute most for old people, single person but students and researchers will also benefit from it by increasing their knowledge as they refer to the study.
