1. Research question:

• How Chinese economy has been booming for the last decades?
• How China is advanced in term of technology
• What industry would be disrupting the most by techs
• What is the stand of the government regarding the growth of Chinese economy therefore techs
• In what technologies the Chinese are the best, in which are they the worst at?

The 3 references that talk about the topic:

• China's national system of innovation and uneven technological trajectory: The case of China's integrated circuit design industry (Douglas B Fuller,2009): This paper argues that developing countries have institutions beyond the national system that can affect science and technology activities
• National technology roadmapping of China practices and implications (Zhengxing Li, Jiayu Chen, 2010):  That paper tackle the fist attempt of the Chinese government have build a roadmap to understand what are the technologies-development priorities.
• Made in China high tech national champions of business excellence (Elisa Barbieri, 1997): That analyse the strategy of two giant Chinese tech company.  

This research question would help future entrepreneur or big firm to understand what are the main strength of Chinese in term of Technologies. Ultimately understand what are the best practice to shift from an imitate oriented country to a new hub of 2.0 intellectual

From a western point of view, it would help apprehend how to make business in this industry in China and to understand what are the practices that could also be imported to its own country, and ultimately learn to create an economy of scale in its country as well

From a Chinese firm point of view, it would help understand what are the trend for this industry in order to grasp it and to improve it to be at the top in the market. It could help them also find some firm that they could have team up with. Moreover, it would let them know what are their weakness and point to improve (for example: organisation, management, knowledge management etc…)

The main feature of this paper would be to understand how a country that was destroyed by the war manage to shift from a mainly agricultural country to the 2nd power of the World. By doing so, other 3rd world countries would be able to pinpoint some best practices that would help them to develop.

1. Empirical Research

• Survey to Chinese tech users from all background to pinpoint what is the most interesting industry to focus on in term of technologies those question would be semi structured in order to understand where are their interest and why. After compiling it we should be able to
• Manager from Top tech industry such as Baidu, Alibaba, Amazon, Ebay, Microsoft, Big data, Huawei firm. We will need to have insight from expert of the industry to be able to understand how they answer to the market needs or how they impose their product like Apple did.

For the survey it should be very easy to make it happened since it is very easy to reach all Chinese wechat user (889 million user active user) and QQ as well, only the formulation of the questions will be a bit tricky.

Manager would be very hard to approach since in China everything is ruled by the law of guanxi (it means contact).        

Comment: How to implement the Chinese strategy to other countries that did not have the same competitive advantages ( Workforce, spaces,etc..)
