Introduction:

Toronto is the most populated city in all Canada, as it is the center of a lot of business and activities. With the size of the population and all the activity going on in the city, it is subject to many environmental challenges. These include air pollution, littering, and water pollution. Decreasing the habitual consumption and agreeing to pay more taxes related to our impact in the environment is not practical. Taking into account the size of the city, the population has some difficulties following this lifestyle, so people must think of ways which they can make Toronto a better place to live and show their engagement. By making some areas more walkable, planting more trees, using more solar panels, and making more green spaces, the city of Toronto can become a better environment to live in. Adding these components will make the city more environmentally friendly as well as create a better quality of life for the citizens of the city.

First of all, (introduce the first aspect)

Considering the ecological, aesthetic, social and economic aspects, the tree proves to have great importance in the life of man and the environment.

With many benefits such as: reducing the carbon dioxide emitted by cars or purifying the air, the trees are the cheapest tools, safer and effective to mitigate some of effects related to man resulting in the degradation of the environment. According to the Conference Board of Canada, the average Canadian emits 20.3 tons of CO2 each year. As published, the role of trees in reducing the CO2 in the atmosphere of Tree Canada, the average Canadian rural tree absorbs approximately 0.58 tons of CO2 over a period of 80 years, which means that one has to plant 35 trees to fully offset the annual emissions of a person. Furthermore, pollutants and dusts in suspension in the air may be captured by the leaves, thus limiting their movement within the environment. From these facts, trees contribute not only to the quality of the air we breathe by filtering it with their leaves but also lower costs of certain diseases that causes dust.

The tree is synonymous with biodiversity but also an attraction for wildlife because their diversity also allows maintenance of the health of the natural environment. The disappearance of a plant species can cause the extinction of 30 species. Trees take part in the safeguarding of the wildlife, flora and habitat (shelter, protection and food) for many species of birds. The tree is also involved in the fight against soil erosion (tree roots are used to filter water and get a better quality of water), to stabilize the extreme temperatures. Additionally, trees emit water vapor during a process called evapotranspiration. This phenomenon contributes to the reduction of local moisture levels and also reduces the extremes of climate. The tree is also an energy saver. It turns out that tree planting can significantly reduce costs associated with heating costs during the winter, and may also decrease the costs associated with air conditioning.

Finally, for human beings seeking shade on sunny days in urban parks and wooded space, ultimately, planting trees can help not only preserve the environment but also improving the quality of life.
