THÈME 1 : CANADA

First of all I would like to present the identity card of Canada. So I will give factual elements about this country. Then I will talk about history and geography. Next I will speak about the agriculture and natural resources. And eventually I wil say why Canada is a beautiful and attractive country. This will be my conclusion.

So to begin with , the identity card : Canada has an area of 9,985 millions km² and a population of around 36 29 millions people.

It also has ten provinces and 3 territories.

It’s capital city is Ottawa in the Ontario provinces and the biggest city is Toronto.

It is a federal parliamentary democracy with a prime minister Justin Trudeau and Queen Elisabeth as Queen because Canada is Commonwealth country ( It is former British colony .

The official languages in Canada are English and French and the currency is the Canadian dollar.

Last fact is the continental climate.

Now the history and geography of Canada.

The British invaded Canada in 1759 and renamed it Province of Quebec. The British colonies of North America formed in 1867 a federation called Dominion of Canada, which formally obtained in 1931 the sovereignty with compared with the United Kingdom.

As far geography is concerned of Canada , I can say that Canada is situated in north America in teh northen hemisphere. It is second largest country in the world after the Russia.

Most of the population lives in the big cities like Montreal , Tonronto , Ottawa , Vancouver , Quebec , Calgary…

Canada has big reserves natural resources like wood , oil , or and produces a lot of wheat.

My conclusion :

I have chosen this theme because I would like to live in Canada in the future. It is a beautiful country with huges landscape and mountains.

It is a multicultural country with a lot of nationalities.
