1. General environment :
- History :
In 1953 the grandfather of Mr Gilles VERRIES created the company "l'officiel du froid et des arts ménager", because, at the time there was no professional press for the kitchen designer,
In 1977 the father of Mr Gilles VERRIES took over the company and in 1997 changed its name, to modernise it, and called it "l'officiel des cuisinistes"
Mr Gilles VERRIES, the grandson of the founder and the current director of the company, decided to create the communication branch within the company "Sushi Communication" was created in 2003, in response for the need of a customer communication tool .
In 2007 the event branch was also created, with the company "SADECC" to meet the need for a trade show reserved for kitchen designer in France.
These companies were created to diversify the business and provide more services to the same customers. These three companies were grouped together in 2011 as an holding company called "GROUPE L'OFFICIEL".

The company SADECC represents 50% of the turnover against 25% for l'officiel des cuisinistes and Sushi communication.
Customers are mainly resellers, independent dealers, dealers under a brand, group of independant dealers or manufacturers.
The suppliers we work with are printers who print all our catalogs, computer specialists for our computer network and a website provider.
We do not have any direct competitors for The groupe l'officiel, but we have indirect competitors, such as trade fairs for international kitchen designer, professional press and communication agencies.
2. Internship Report :
My tasks during my internship period were to :
- Answer the phone when Mrs. Camille BOHE was not available,
- Invoice each of the customers who wanted to advertise in our magazine l'officiel des cuisinistes, and also those who wanted to post a small ad in the magazine,
- Chase customers for unpaid invoices,
- manage the subscriptions to the magazine l'officiel des cuisinistes,
- prospect kitchen designer in order to sell subscriptions or communication tools,
- assist Mrs Eglantyne VERRIES on the SADECC 2017 project, which is a trade show for kitchen designer.
From a personal point of view, this project has allowed me to gain a deeper experience on the organization of an event.
I have learnt :
- Project management,
- define, maintain and analyse objectives
- use management tools
- use analysis tools
- organize and lead project meetings
Humanly I am happy to have had to carry out missions with real responsibilities and objectives, I have learnt to organise myself to manage deadlines and to establish a positive working atmosphere to motivate the team. The best lesson I've learnt is the importance of active listening: it helps to find solutions from other team members.
