6 EASY WAYS TO BREAK A BAD HABIT

Bad habits can lead to a lot of problems in life, which means it only make our lives harder to deal with, but those habits are not too hard to break them, the question here is how to do that?

The causes of bad habits

There are a lot reasons that cause bad habits on of the major

  Being tensed and stressed, when you are in a critical situation and the sweat is all over your body at that time you don’t know what you are doing and that can lead to a bad habits like biting your nails and that means bad habits are only ways to relieve stress

The results of a bad habit

  Bad habits can affect our health mentally or physically, for example smoking which most people use it to get away from their problems and issues but that doesn’t solve anything it cause us more problems.

Solutions to break bad habits

1-Be aware and conscious of your bad habits                                                                                                                

You have to know what your bad habits are and identify the causes that push you to do them because the moment you realize bad causes then you can take action

2- The will to break bad habits 

You have to want to break your habits because your will can make you resist your bad habits and never give up to those habits so it makes you control yourself

3- Change your surroundings

Stay away from everything that makes go back to that habit, for example if a situation makes you stress out stay away from it, if getting angry can push you to smoke try and stay calm whatever the circumstances.

4-fine yourself for each offense 

Make your habit a little more painfully and you might ditch it for good. Money is a motivator, so you can use “swear jar” method or pay your friends each time they saw doing it, and reward yourself for beating your bad habit everyday.

5-don’t eliminate your habit replace it

Bad habits provide some type of benefit in your life, it’s difficult to just eliminate them. Instead, you need to replace the bad habit with a new habit that provide the same benefiting.

For example, if you smoke when you get stressed, then it’s a bad plan to just stop smoking when that happens then you should come up a replacement and a different way to deal with stress and insert that new behavior instead of having a cigarette.

6-plan for failure

We are all humans and make mistakes, as STEVE KAMB says, “When you screw up, skip a workout, eat bad, food, or sleep in, it doesn’t make a bad person. It makes human. Welcome to the club.”

so instead of felling guilty and beating up yourself over a mistake, plan for it.

Conclusion

Bad habits can only make our lives harder that’s what we need to convince our lives with…and remember, a little bit of will you can overcome anything for example, visualize yourself succeeding. You might not have success right away, but that doesn’t mean you can’t achieve it.
