Do you think we are on the way to such situations in à not-so-distant future?

Science has evolved a much and it has improve living conditions of people but if we continue to always need more, is not the progress going to exceed the man?

Nowadays we could make things incredible in all areas : food, animals, humans, plants,... Moreover the revolution of transport (every second, à plane takes off), medecine (medical advances, medicines, vaccines, operating conditions,...), technology (dishwasher, shower,...) and computer science (we can exchange and communicate throughout the world) provide many benefits, time saving, cumfort and above all, allow us to realize unthinkable things.

For example, We have to know today, the notion of one of the bigger advance, the selective breeding, is more and more current : it growing used and developed in several areas :

the farmers uses it with the aim of improving their production to make profit (make ideal products for example plants more productives or bigger chickens)

science also uses it with animals in crossing races of dogs for example to make new races and with humans too. The idea to create her own baby with the desired traits is already more or less realized (in United States for example).

However the problem is the world is in constant evolution and progress. Almost every day new discoveries are made, and people always try to make it more without necessarily to be careful of the consequences and set limits because you have to don’t forget that progress can be à danger for man.

Technology with the creation of high performance machines increasingly replaced workers for example and selective breeding lead to species extinction and jeopardize the survival of species, to generate new genetic diseases while trying to eradicate common diseases and risk of creating à conformist society : loff of diversity.
