Subject: violations of human rights in many countries of the world
Dear President Trump
My name is Stessy Devulder and I am currently a student at ULCO university in Boulogne-Sur-Mer in Northern France. I would like to contact you about the Sting speech in Athens on Amnesty National where I was present. Indeed, I would like to express my opinion on the denunciations of the singer of several countries which in my opinion violates Human Rights.
According to me, Human Rights are fundamental in a country, everyone has the right to live, the right to freedom and security. For me, human rights are also respect for the person and his dignity.
However, violations of this fundamental right are happening in each part of the world in this moment.
In the same way, many people don't have freedom of expression, for example people in Congo who defend Human Rights can don't speak freely.
Also, many people are tortured and unfairly tried, for example in Libya, migrants are victims of malnutrition and forced labor. These problems should not exist because every human must live with dignity, but many countries make suffer these people.
Concerning your country, I think Mr President that you had treated the refugees unworthily. You separated the children from their parents on the Mexican border, I find it very scandalous
I think that this is contrary to human rights and that it is discrimination. I agree with singer Sting to describe your policy as “barbaric” and “brutal”.
Besides, you have to take the example of Greece, which helped one million refugees even though this country was having a financial crisis, unlike the United States, which is a rich country and you have the money to help these migrants. Mr President, you have children, will you like to separate your children? I think families should stay together.
You will have to start to be in solidarity with other countries and together you will find a place for these migrants in our countries. You will then have to put these families together again because I think immigration affects all countries.
In my opinion, a human must be free and live in good conditions without suffering. I think that all countries must to be together to help and find solutions to these problems and then help migrants to find a normal life by integrate them.
Thank you, Mr. President, for your time to read this email, hoping it will make you react.
Yours sincerely, Stessy Devulder
