Letter of Self-introduction

Dear teacher,

Thank you for spending your valuable time reading this letter.Knowing that the Beijing Foreign Studies University is going to elect some students who do well in study and have a good knowledge of English or other foreign languages,I submit this letter to you to share some of my resume including experiences. I am eager to be accepted by the Beijing Foreign Studies University.

 It is known to us all that Beijing Foreign Studies University has a great reputation at home and abroad.The university has the best professors who are committed to cultivating talented people.Countless diplomats of China have graduated from Beijing Foreign Studies University.The reason why I want to apply for Beijing Foreign Studies University is that I have been dreaming of becoming a diplomat who can represent the country.

I have some advantages over other candidates.During three years in senior high,I study hard and persistently. Not only do my academic achievements rank the top 10% in all the students,but my English grades can also rank the top 5%.I got many prizes awarded by the school every year.To broaden my horizons,I took part in the National Innovative English Competition.With the efforts I had made before the competition,I eventually entered the finals where I gained national second prize.

In ordinary study time,I prefer to think alone first and then discuss with my teachers ,so I can remember my mistakes in case it should happen again.In my spare time,I like playing soccer.I can be dynamic on the playground.Since it is a teamwork,I learn how to communicate and cooperate with others.I am also a fan of playing the piano.The power of music can make me calm and heal my feeling.

I am enthusiastic about learning languages as every bridge between human and culture is built by it.It is an essential,fundamental and necessary key in the modern society.As using a language is the best way to learn it,in this circumstance,I usually listen to English songs while practice singing it and remember the lyrics.As to the movie,I will recite the lines.I also read English novels, especially some classics(估计面试老师会对此提问).

Dear teacher, perhaps you have read plenty of letters.I know that I still need to be improved.But I have the courage and determination to make my dream come true.Beijing Foreign Studies University is like a window opening a new world through which I can chase higher standard.Being admitted by the Beijing Foreign Studies University can definitely benefit me a lot.It will be a great honor if I am admitted.I will cherish this chance.
