Hello, today I will present you my work based on Arnold Schwarzenegger and his immigration in a foreign country.

First, I will start with a short biography of Arnold Schwarzenegger.

He is born the 30th of July 1947 in the small town of Thal in Austria so today he is 73 years old

When he was young, he was a bodybuilder and thanks to his friendship he became an actor and played in many famous films such as Terminator. Later, he started a political career and became the governor of California.

In his personal life he had several children with Maria Shriver, the sister of the 35th President of the United States, John Fitzgerald Kennedy, but they separated in 2011.

The reasons why he left his homeland:

Arnold Schwarzenegger left his country for 2 reasons.

Firstly, he had been dreaming of moving to the United States since he was 10 years old.

Secondly, he went to the United States to pursue his career as a bodybuilder, after meeting Joe Weider who invited him to come and compete in the United States and because it is there that the most important competitions take place.

Finally, he fulfilled his dream by settling in the United States in October 1968, at the age of 21 but without a lot of money and without knowing how to speak English well.

Where did he settle down?

Arnold Schwarzenegger left Austria and moved across the Atlantic Ocean to the United States.

And more precisely in Hollywood in Los Angeles in the state of California.

Now I am going to talk about the outcome of his immigration. Arnold Schwarzenegger has accomplished many things in his life.

He wrote a book, became a millionaire, obtained more than 40 bodybuilding titles, had 3 important careers (bodybuilder, actor and governor of California).

But he is also the founder of an association that fights for the defence of the environment, which is what enabled him to become a Chevalier de la Légion d'honneur in 2017.

Conclusion

It is for all these reasons that I chose to work on this man because I wanted to show that you don't necessarily have to immigrate to flee a war or to find work, but that you can also leave your country to have a better life.

That's what Arnold Schwarzenegger did, and it was his immigration that enabled him to go from a man who didn't earn a very good living to a millionaire known all over the world.
