Hello. Today I’m gonna present you the country of Italy.
Italy is officially called the Italian Republic, it is a unitary parliamentary republic in Europe .
It has left a profound mark on Western culture and gastronomy. The capital, Rome, houses the Vatican, masterpieces of art and remains of antiquity.
Among the other cities stand out Florence, with Renaissance masterpieces such as Michelangelo's David and Brunelleschi's Dome, Venice, the city of canals, and Milan, the Italian capital of fashion.

Italy counts exactly 20 regions and is located on the middle of the Mediterranean sea, it’s bordered by numerous countries which are : France, Switzerland, Austria, Slovenia, San Marino and the Vatican city.
It covers an area of about 301 388 km² and counts nearly 61 M habitants, for this and other reasons it is considered as the 4th most popular EU member state.

There are two mains capitals : Rome, the historical capital and Milan, the economical capital.
Rome’s latitude is of 41° 53’ minutes 30 seconds north and it’s longitude is of 12° 30 minute 40 seconds east.
Milan’s latitude is of 45° 27’ mminutes 40 seconds  North and it’s longitude is of 9° 11 minutes  22 seconds East.

Italy’s rate of unemployement is of 10.8%, the language used is italian.
The HDI is of around 0.87, it’s stagning since around 2005 and has increased  a bit compared to 1980 when the HDI was of 0.72.

The gdp is of 32 000$ per capita and has increased of 4.9% which is a really good point if we compare it to 2009 when the growth was negative because of the big crisis that impacted Italy in 2008.

Italy date of entry on the European Union is the 15th January of 1958 and the currency used ( euro) was established on the 1st january of 1999 but began official in 2002 .
Italy is actually a member of Schengen since the 26th of october 1997, to enter the country people must have a visa.
San Marino and the Vatican, which are 2 european microstates located in Italy, are consideres as members of Schengen even tough they did not officially signed the particulars documents of agreement.

The Italian’s enconomy is mostly due to restauration (20.9%), industry (19.3%) and sanity / education (16.9%) .

Finally if we want to talk about itlian euroskepiticsm we can analyse this demographic . Thanks to a referendum we have been able to note that most of people that want to leave the EU are under 45 so are pretty young. (51%). 45 years older people mostly voted to remain in the EU as  we can see.
