Dear Mr. Chauzet,

Actually at the Mcgill University to complete a management certificate, tennis has always been a passion for me: I have been a semi-professional tennis player when I was in France and it’s been more than 10 years that I play this sport and follow every news regarding it. This is why I am writing to express my interest for the apprenticeship, which starts the 1st of September, as a communication/graphic designer assistant, that Technifibre offers.

With my long experience in tennis, as a player and as a fan, there are no doubts that I have all the tennis knowledge required for this post, such as knowledge about the players on the tour, specific things related to the tennis racquets like strings for example, and knowledge about all the ATP events.

In the past, I had several internships in different sectors. One of the most interesting one was at Viparis, a company that works in events. I was a communication assistant: I had to update everyday the Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin accounts of the company with news about what the company is doing, with presentation and interviews of the Viparis’s employees, etc. During this internship, we have been confronted to a difficult problem to manage: one day, because of a Total conference that we had organized, Greenpeace’s activists went to it with the intention to make troubles. With my supervisor, we managed successfully this situation by communicating all information necessary on the social media. If we had not made the good choices, it could have strongly hurt our company’s image. This experience has taught me how to provide a good communication for a company, even under pressure.

Regarding the graphic designer aspect, as you could see in my resume, I can use efficiently PowerPoint and Photoshop: these two were very important in my everyday job in my internships, and essentially in my internship at Viparis.

Being able to work in the tennis business, in a company such as Technifibre, that focuses on products created in France and that is growing fast in this business, is a great opportunity. I strongly believe that the communication skills and graphic designer knowledge that I’ve acquired during my different internships, mixed with my experience in tennis and my passion of it, would be very useful for this apprenticeship and for Technifibre.
