Catherine Eddowes

Hello everyone today I will tell you about Catherine Eddowes, the fourth canonical victim of Jack the Ripper.

She was born on April 14, 1842 and died on September 30, 1888 at 1:45 a.m.

Catherine Eddowes is from Wolverhampton.

She had three kids with Conway, but they weren’t married.

Catherine Eddowes separated from Conway and then met John Kelly

She had no children with John Kelly and was not married, but she lived in a boarding house with John until his death.

Unable to pay the pension, she was forced to prostitute herself in addition to her other works (as a farm worker and saleswoman) .

Just before she died, Catherine Eddowes was in prison because she was drunk. Prior to her incarceration, she had given to the police the name Mary Kelly. (This will also be the name of another Jack the Ripper's victim.)

Catherine Eddowes met Jack the Ripper at the corner of Duke Street, thought he was a client.

Catherine Eddowes was strangled and then killed with her abdomen open and her organs deposited near her face. Jack the Ripper left with his victim’s kidney.
