Leonardo da Vinci was born on April fifteen fourteen fifty-two, in Vinci and died on May two fifteen nineteen, in Amboise

he was an Italian painter t, artist, show and party organizer, scientist, engineer, inventor, anatomist, architect, urban planner, botanist, musician, poet, philosopher, and writer.

Enfance

Leonardo da Vinci was born, from a romantic relationship with Piero di Antonio da Vinci, notary, chancellor, and ambassador of the Florentine Republic, and Caterina in the small Tuscan village at two kilometers from Vinci on the territory of Florence in Italy.

Leonardo was baptized and then spent his first five years with his mother.

In fourteen fifty-seven, he was five years old when his mother married a peasant from the town, with whom she had five children. He was then admitted to the house of his father's family

Training at Verrocchio's workshop

One day, Leonardo's father took several of his drawings and submitted them to his friend Andrea del Verrocchio, he was admitted to his studio

Leonardo is introduced by Verrocchio to the many techniques practiced in his workshop.

The Milanese Years (1482-1499)

Around 1481, the monastery of San Donato commissioned him the Adoration of the Magi, but Leonardo never finished this painting

He also painted The Virgin of the Rocks (1483-1486) for the fraternity of the Immaculate Conception at the Chapel of San Francesco Grande in Milan

He also studied the dome of Milan's cathedral and, from 1489 to 1494, the creation of an imposing equestrian statue in honor of Francesco Sforza

The fresco The Last Supper (1494-1498) is painted for the Dominican convent of Santa Maria

Artist and engineer (1499-1516)

In March 1500, Leonardo da Vinci was employed as a military architect and engineer by the Venetians, who sought to protect their city. He developed methods to defend the city from a naval attack with, the invention of a helmet suit

In 1502, he was recruited by César Borgia, he stayed in the Marche and Romagna to inspect the newly conquered territories, fortresses, canals, to draw plans or draw maps of cities, filling his notebooks with his multiple observations, maps, works sketches, and copies of works consulted in the libraries of the cities he crossed.

his first painting is the annunciation that depicts the angel Gabriel greeting the Virgin Mary and interrupting her in her reading of the Bible to tell her that she is destined to give birth to the son of God painted in 1472
