Michael Jackson

Michael Joe Jackson was born on August 29, 1958 in Gary (Indiana) to Kathrine and Joseph Jackson and he died on June 25, 2009. Michael Jackson is a writer, a singer and a choreographer.

His family was poor; they lived in a small house. His father was a worker and his mother took care of the Children, indeed Michael had 8 brothers and sisters. His childhood was very violent because of his father who beat the children.

At first, he sang in a group composed of four of his older brothers: The Jackson Five.

He started his solo career at the age of 13 in 1971. Therefore, he was very young but mature. 8 years later, he released his first album entitled “Off the Wall”. His first album made him very popular and he became a major figure in pop music. He has written 4 more albums, which had a lot of influences in the music. The singer sold more than 750 million albums.

He was a sensitive person. He was listed in the 2000 edition of the Guinness Book of World Records for the "Most Charities Supported by a Pop Star". He had supported 39 charitable organizations thanks to his donations and his sponsors.

Michael Jackson is an iconic people because he started from scratch and he worked hard all his life to become the person he wanted to be. Moreover, he used his popularity to do good things, like helping some associations.
