Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to apply for the position advertised in the BBC news. I would like to start by pointing out that I’m determined to be hired. To briefly introduce myself, I’ve been a zoologist for Toronto Zoo since 1979. During this time, I’ve been recognized as a dedicated, ambitious, and reliable person who has the ability to work without supervision.

This job is very appealing to me, and I believe that my strong experience makes me a highly competitive candidate for the position. How interesting and fantastic is this job! In the company of my life, who has a brilliant career as Botanist with what is now Agriculture Canada, I’m convinced that we are perfect candidates.

My key strengths that would support my success in this position are the following:

  • I always strive to do my best at everything I do,
  • I’m experienced and have a sound knowledge of biodiversity,
  • I am involved with animals and with the nature since my childhood.

Furthermore, we regularly do underwater diving, and as divers, we’re kinds of adventurers and conservationists. At this point, I can say that I AM YOUR GUY! I’m so impressed by working in this paradise. I am very motived by the idea of taking care of this precious biodiversity.

Do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or need further clarification on my experience. I can be reached any time via email at john.miller@gmail.com or by cell phone, (226) 774-1234.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to speaking with you about this employment opportunity.

Sincerely,

John Miller

My choice:  I chose Job Ad #5.

First of all, some other ads were illegible.  Then, several ads were only composed of text whereas #5 was colorful, beautiful and appealing. Indeed, there were small drawings, small eye-catching features.

Moreover, the headlines of paper #5 drew attention: this motivated me to respond to this letter.

Finally, this job ad does not contain all information described in the video, but only the most important ones, contrary to others. In this way, it is clearer to us and to everyone.
