ERROR 404: NOT FOUND

        “Get out of that room of yours and off your computer and come eat dinner!!” My mom wasn’t always the most subtle and calm person. “Can’t you just leave your d**n video games and spend some time with your family”. So I go down and get my food and we just stare at each other, nobody mutters a word. I’m surprised my dad came home early, since he works so much. Most times when my father talks to me, it’s to shout at me to get out my room.

        I’m a huge addict to video games and know just about everything about a computer. My best friend Charles is the best programmer I know and can hack into just about anything. On the day of homecoming I and my friend Charles went to a football game. My other friend, Oscar, is the captain and star player of our school team. First half we went 1-0 up because of a great shot from Oscar. Todd, one of the other schools supporters and a bully starts shouting and threatens to hit me. But he cools down later. Halfway through the second half us heard a huge bang. I was guessing it was just fireworks from supporters or something. Later on we win the game so we come storming on the pitch. I lose track of Charles so I decide to go back home.

        As I enter the house it’s completely quiet and dark so I turn on the lights and I find my mother dead. I cry in shock and disbelief as I remember that I never really told her I love you. Then the lights go off. So I reopen the system and this time my dad is on the floor. As I sob, I wonder what kind of monster would do this to me. The lights turn off again and I try to work the system but this time all it displays is ERROR 404: NOT FOUND. I start to cry and shout at whoever was out there: “Come out, if you’re brave enough, you f*****g monster”.

        I try once more to reopen the system and check for any sort of problems but the same message keeps coming up. And it’s then I realize that it has been hacked into. And then I think of the one person who can hack better than me. It has to be Charles as much as I hate to say it my best friend murdered my family.

        I finally get back into the system but then suddenly a videos of Oscar and Charles locked up in a room together with no resources. Who could hate me so much to do this? But then I realize there are many potential candidates for this:

• Amy Richard who was always jealous of me in the coding club
• Zack who didn’t like my friends
• And Josh who dislikes me for no good reason

Then I hear a sound coming from the stairs and I look to the camera on the stairway and then a masked person breaks it. I walk into the kitchen with a knife and wait, then suddenly I realize who he is. The killer was……………*typing noise*……………. ERROR 404: NOT FOUND
