Question:

1) In this text, the scène take place in Australia, the main characters are stan, Mrs Lacey and the American man. This text talk about a couple of American tourist's who are buying souvenirs and an artist who has come to sold them one of his paintings, Stan.

2)        a. For the American, the Honey-ant painting are beautiful and he wants to probably buy it but before this he wants to know what the Honey-ant is significant in Australia,Stan spoke with a hoarse voice and I think he was pissed off but at the end of the passage Stan explain at the American how are made this painting.

        b. Painting is composed of small several paint colors of points: brown, orange , green, blue and white is sometimes forming geometrical figures

3) The painting may have helped the American man to to understand the paintings, their importance to -ants Honney , that ants have nectar in their cells in the roots of a tree mulga. That on the picture the circles are honey-ant ceremonial centres and the tubes are Dreaming-tracks.  

4)I think that tourism does not garentie autoctonne the survival of a culture, because that says tourism said profit therefore will be a consumer culture . But it can also make the tourists natives who live factories local objects.
