Definition :

A biofuel is a liquid or gaseous fuel obtained from material of plant, animal or waste origin. They are different from fossil fuels that produce greenhouse gases. They are generally incorporated into fossil fuels.

Example of biofuels and where they are found

There are two types of biofuels:
- Biofuel: this fuel is obtained from organic matter called biomass
- Agrofuel: this fuel is obtained from biomass from agriculture

In the United States, soybeans and corn are the main sources of biofuels. In Brazil, sugar cane is used, while in Europe, sugar beet and wheat are used more often. Brazil, the United States, France, Sweden and Germany are among the countries that strongly encouraged the development of biofuels

Explain what they can be used for

To make biofuels need to:

-Oil industry (rapeseed, sunflower) to obtain biodiesel

-Alcohol chain (cane sugar, sugar beet, corn, wheat or ulve, or green algae) to obtain Bioethanol, Ethyl tertiary butyl ether, BioButanol and methanol

-Gas sector (fermentation of organic materials such as crop waste products) to obtain Biogaz

Explain their advantages and incovenients

Advantages:
First, there are two major benefits that are reducing pollution and the price is one of the great benefits of biofuels is lower than that of "conventional" fuel.
