The videos are campaigns from The AOL (American Online) society. They are treating about the “good” and the “bad” internet. Each video introduce one perspective, and invite people to discuss about it by this final sentence we hear in both cases; “some people think that the internet is a (bad or good) thing. What do YOU think?”

These people that are invited to discuss, in other words the target audience is mostly Yer and Xer Gen.

The internet is an exclusive place where people could express whatever they want without a strict state regulation. It is a great way to make us always remember our past.

But on other hand, the internet is a dangerous place where evildoers could spread their criminal messages without the fear of being judge.

It is a way for malefactors to be invisible, while they are stalling us, insulting us, ruining our life.

But for some of us it is ok, because it is a revolutionary tool for the education of children.

In addition it is a advanced platform that make us inform of the world news instantly.

But in contrast, it is a manner for the government to always watch us.

It is a way for the leaders to know all about us.

There’s people who over consume the internet. whereas there’s others who hate it.

FILMIC TECHNIQUES /3

The filmic techniques in these video are very interesting. They are, at the same time, very similar, and different.

Let us firstly talk about the sound. In each video, the music theme is the same, but our mood when we hear it is totally different. in both videos, the voice is the same, but our feeling to it isn’t the same.

It is because the tone of the notes has been changed, some of the instruments too. it is because the voice over changed his intonation. Details has been changed, and it completely transformed the color of the sound. it switched the mood.

Then there’s the visual. The shots are mostly the same. We find some same important images in both videos. But the color calibration changes. But the message and some part of these images appears in another way. The images and shots could appear the same, they are definitely not seen the same. We have two visuals that looks alike, but they are showing, with success, two opposite perspective.

Both of videos did not convinced me of something, they did better; They made me think

First, I watched “the internet is a good thing”,

and i agreed with it. Off course i agreed with it, because for my generation, which is Xer Gen, the internet is a big part of our life, and it is unusual for someone to disagree with his proper life.
