firstly,article explains that a study was carried out to determine whether organisations were planning an pay rise during a job promotions.

Based on this study only a small percent would increase their employees. In the remainder of the document, we are told the reason for the refusal of organizations to increase their employees.

The reasons are varied but for the most part, they want to wait for employees to make themselves or for lack of treasury.

Secondly,David Jones, explains that if you do not pay rise an employee, you have to explain the reasons otherwise he might have less motivation.

He also explains that promotions can deliver long term career benefits that can replace a pay rise as other non-cash benefits.

According to dan schawbel, employees should also ask why they do not have an increase and ask goals to reach to get it .

Personally, I think not being increased directly does not pose me problem, I can understand that they must see if I validate the goals, but not being increased when one has a higher workload would not be possible for me.

In my company, every year we have an interview to see the positives and negatives, it is also possible to ask for an pay rise even if all employees have a small increase each year.
