Part 2

Relying only on his courage, Bob headed for the vault. He couldn’t believe that his little plan was successful. Looking around him, his hands shaking, he opened the casket. However, he only found a tap recording. Shocked, Bob asked himself if he was the victim of a practical joke or if it was his old friend Gerry who was teasing him once again. Nevertheless, he decides to listen to the tap recording. ‘Hi my valiant savior, my name is Bella and I need your help to accomplish an important mission. You’ll become rich and famous if you’re ready to face these risks. You must join me within an hour otherwise all our plans will fall through.’

Bob stumbled out of the vault, clearly shaken by the content of the message. Who is this Bella? A spy, an ex-girlfriend, a psychopath killer from St-Gérard de Magella? He seemed to have already heard this voice before.

Gathering up his courage, he hurried to the first telephone booth. However, there was already someone inside. After a everlasting wait of 10 minutes, Bob desperately yelled: ‘ Hey you scumbag, get lost! I need the phone.’ Offended, the young man stared at Bob and panted: ‘ Hey you slim, calm down and stop bugging me.’ Frustrated, that was the last straw. Angry, Bob drove in the door, grabbed the guy by the neck and violently threw him out of the cabin. Bloody, the young man crawled as best as he could towards his car.

Bob desperately looked for change when he realized that he had forgotten his wallet at home. Panicked, he found by luck a quarter in the pocket of his magnificent and chic black Italian leather coat. He dialed at fast as possible. A soft voice answered:’ Hello Gerry’s Pizza Palace. Can I take your order?’ Dummy, he had dialed the wrong number. He felt that his life was falling apart. He gave it one last shot. A melodious voice answered: ‘It’s you my savior. If you hadn’t called me back, I would have been in trouble. Come and meet me at chic and hip Café Ti-Mé tomorrow at 13:00’. Then she hung up before Bob could say a word. Speechless, Bob felt that this whole story was going to drive him crazy but there was no going back.
