Synopsis du film Interstellar

The name of the film I’m studying is Interstellar. This film is set at the end of the 21st century. Cooper, a former astronaut, raises his children Murph and Tom as he can, growing his giant vegetable garden with his father-in-law. Because his wife died, she had a brain cyst, and her disease couldn’t be detected because the MRI were no longer manufactured . Their daughter Murph is passionate about science because she’s very smart and mature but also strong-witted and stubborn, but what she loves most is spending time with her father. Earth’s problems are that crops are becoming extinct, dust storms are frequent, and there is a shortage of food. And the social problem is that schools test children and classify them into two groups: future farmers and future academics.

At the beginning of the film there is something strange happening in Murph’s room, she thought it was a ghost but then there is a binary code that appears on the floor. That code led Cooper and Murph to a top-secret NASA facility. In this one they meet John Brand, former professor of Cooper at NASA, leader of NASA and his daughter Amelia scientist and astronaut. Professor J Brand asks Cooper to participate in the next mission to save Earth, Lazarus. Cooper’s mission is to: go through the wormhole, search for new potential habitable worlds, and collect data from previous missions. When Murph learns that her father has accepted the assignment , she is devastated and angry with her father . In this mission there are two planes: Plan A which consists of finding a new planet, solving a difficult equation and transporting the human to Earth.And plan B, which is to abandon the earth’s population and colonize a new planet with embryos.

The name of the mission spaceship is Endurance. In this, there are two robots: Tars and Case. Previous missions have taken place on three planets: Edmund, Miller and Mann. One hour on the planet Miller equals seven years on the space station. After leaving the planet Miller, Cooper looks back on years of space travel. messages from him and his son after : Tom had two children, but one of them died and Murph is now a NASA scientist working on the equation with J Brand. And she discovers that Professor Brand and Dr. Mann knew that Plan A was wrong.

 On the planet, Mann tries to kill Cooper, steals the Endurance and goes to Earth and dies. Cooper decides to untie his space travel to save the planet.

Amelia but the consequences were that Amelia did not have enough power to go to the planet Edmund, TARS is sent to Gargantua (black hole) to collect data and send them to Murph to solve the equation and Cooper ejects and falls into the black hole. It is located in a three-dimensional space and can communicate with TARS. In this three-dimensional world, we understand that Cooper can see all instances of time that are in the same space. happened to Murph’s room, that Cooper was Murph’s ghost, and that gravity and love helped Cooper get out of the walrus. a message .

Murph finally  solve the equation thanks to her father’s watch and the fact that she went to her old room.

Finally, Murph solved J Brand’s equation and saved humanity.
