In first time, I will talk to you about spaces and exchanges. I have decided to treat the subject of sports. Because there is a cultural, economic, social… relation between sports and this notion. To what extent, can we say that sports unites people? To respond to the problem, I am going to presented: In first part, the competition between countries, peoples, supporters … And in second part, the sports events.
For a long time, competition has been present in sports. The competition is so important, that persons not consider sport as a game. We can say, the sports activities create tensions. For example, in football, the competition between the French and the Italian is very important. These two teams dislike each other, as we see with the football players (Zidane & Matterazzi at in two thousand six at final of the World Cup football) but also the supporters. These tensions can create violence, between different country, culture. Everybody, wants the victory, to the point these people get angry against the adversary who become an enemy…
In this second part, I will talk to you about sport events, like the Olympic games. During these events, we can see the meeting people from different cultures. These peoples can have different languages but they are here for same reasons, because they like sports. For example, in the Olympic Games, Pierre de Coubertin said in nineteen o eight, that victory was the participation but not the winning. This same passion is a good way to unite people. On the other hand, let us not forget that events are great for the economy, the football World Cup in Brasil is a perfect example for this situation. Because we can watch on the internet or the television this event, so the Brazilian culture is broadcast in worldwide.
To conclude, the sports events can create economic, cultural, social benefits. Also, the sports can unite the fans, the athletes, the country, thanks to this passion.
