Sea pollution

Pollution is anything that is present or introduced into an environment which causes harm.  In the sea there are many kinds of pollution such as rubbish, oil, chemicals and even sewage

1. Toxic chemicals of industries ( first cause )

Industrial and agricultural waste is another form of waste that is directly dumped into the sea, causing sea pollution. The dumping of toxic liquids into the sea directly affects marine life as they are considered dangerous and second, they increase the temperature of the sea, known as thermal pollution, because the temperature of these liquids is quite high. Animals and plants that can not survive at higher temperatures eventually perish.

3. Large-scale oil spills

Ship pollution is a huge source of ocean pollution, with the most devastating effects being oil spills. Crude oil lasts for years in the sea and is extremely toxic to marine life, often stifling marine animals to death once they trap them. Crude oil is also extremely difficult to clean, which unfortunately means that when it is divided; he is usually here to stay.

In addition, many ships lose thousands of cases each year due to storms, emergencies and accidents. This causes noise pollution (excessive, unexpected noise that interrupts the balance of life, most often caused by modes of transport), excessive algae and ballast water. Often other species can also invade an ecosystem and harm it by interrupting the life cycle of other organisms, causing a shock of nature that has already been damaged by the overflow of pollution.

4. Litter

Pollution of the atmosphere is a huge source of sea pollution. This happens when inland objects are blown by the wind over long distances and end up in the sea. These objects can be anything from natural things like dust and sand to man-made objects such as debris and garbage. Most debris, especially plastic debris, can not decompose and remain suspended in the current seas for years.

Solution :

∆ Reduce your use of fertilizers and avoid using chemical pesticides in your yard.

∆ Eat organic whenever possible to help ultimately limit the demand for chemical pesticides.

∆ Clean your home with lemon juice, baking soda, and vinegar instead of toxic cleaners.

∆ Properly dispose of motor oil, light bulbs, medications, and other hazardous items.

Reduce your carbon footprint by:

∆ Carpooling, walking, or riding a bike and using high-efficiency appliances

∆ Carrying a reusable shopping bag instead of plastic bags

∆ Storing food in reusable containers instead of those you throw away

∆ Avoiding products that come with excess packaging

∆ Not littering

∆ Reducing, reusing, and recycling
