Alan Turing is one of many people whose exploits are little known, including his who led to the victory of the Allies during World War II. Played by Benedict Cumberbatch , Alan Turing is designated to join a team made up of the greatest cryptologists of Great Britain in order to break the coding of German's messages, and pierced the secret of the Enigma machine. Enigma which is the machine for encoding German's messages during the Second World War.

Mutic and arrogant, explosive and hypnotic, the British actor marks us with a touching acting and succeeds in creating empathy for a character of detestable appearance.

Imitation Game is a masterpiece of cinema combining war strategy and human relations. With a rich historical context, a field of study as complex as it is intellectually stimulating, dynamics of groups full of tension, a look at the place of women in the professional world, all these themes as rich as they manage to captivate us for almost 2 hours. But the director didn't stop there, he chose to talk to us about a taboo aspect of Alan Turing's life : his homosexuality.

Alan Turing speaks of it with frankness, but at the time homosexuality is condemned on the penal level by prison paints, or to undergo a chemical castration by taking so-called "female" hormones.

Alan Turing’s contribution went far beyond his work on Enigma, with the creation of the machine "Bomb" or "Christopher" as he calls it, which allowed to decrypt the German code. His studies, and the intelligence of the machines, laid the foundations of great concepts that today serve in computer science.

It was a grandiose genius wasted by completely stupid ideals according to the moral values of society during this war and long after.

Marked by scenes of electric intensities, and moving, and by second roles played to perfection, Imitation Game offers a beautiful portrait of Alan Turing by paying homage to him in the most beautiful ways.

This passionating film allowed me to discover a completely unknown part of the Second World War, and on the character of Alan Turing whether it be on his life or on his works and exploits.
