we are the saami people and we are a nomad tribe that live between 4 countries: Norway, Sweden, finland, and Russia, the total of our population is aproxymatly 80 000 saami even thought we are a small population we play an important part in the politics of the countries, in each of these countries we have our own parliements  representing our people in the governments. We elect 4 people in each countrie to represents us in political meetings

We the saami people, believe that every natural object has a soul such as plants and rocks we are animism but we also in a multitude of spirits and gods we are polytheist, we mostly worship reindeers beause in our beliefs the world was created from a white reindeer The reindeer’s veins became rivers, its fur became forest, its stomach became the ocean, and its horns became mountains. We also beilive that at first there was the sun and the earth, the sun is the father of all and the earth was the mother of all,they had a son , in searching the son found another world of giants , by mixing his blood with a giant, the son created the humans and therefor the sami

Our people make their livings by mostly herding raindeers and the majority of the region of Northern Norway is actually used for raising reindeer, Tradtionally our people support themsekves by mostly fishing, hunting, and livestock farming.Today a large proportions of our population lives in modern towns but we still have people living in settelments up in the mountains, in both cases the people still earn their living in the modern service sector, industry, travel and the public sector
