Introduction

Each year, an average of 9 out of 17 women are raped by men because of alcohol.

It is with this subject in mind that I am going to present my poster today.

I will begin this presentation with a brief description of the image and then talk about the meaning of the poster.

1 - Description de l’image

Let's start with the description of the poster.

The title of this poster is "She wasn’t able to say No". The she who represents the woman whose legs can be seen in the middle left of the poster.

On the other hand, you can see a man half-naked on his back. And at his feet is a table with empty liquor bottles. Thus setting the scene for the next day in the evening and more precisely in the early morning because there is a strong luminosity.

Finally, in the foreground is a graph showing the percentage of weapons used to rape women on average. And a text where it says: “When your friends drink. They can end up making bad decisions. Like going home with someone they don't know very well. Decisions like that leave them vulnerable to dangers like date rape. Help your friends stay in control and stay safe.”

2 - Sens de l’image

As far as the meaning of the poster is concerned, everything is based on sexual violence due to alcohol.

The meaning of the title "She wan’t able to say No" poses the situation, this title represents women who are in an alcoholic state.

The man represents the rapist who just finished the act. He can be noticed because he is not wearing pants and the woman has her panties on her ankles.

It is noticeable that the woman is not in a state of acceptance but rather that she has been abused against her will.

Conclusion

Even today, many women still suffer sexual violence.

This poster represents only men's violence against women, but we must not forget that there is also the other way around. Although cases are rarer, men can also be victims of sexual violence when they are in a state of alcoholism. This is why alcohol is dangerous not only for your health but also for your protection.
