        This year we have studied the notion of « spaces and exchanges » . To determine this notion, we have to keep in mind the movement of people between countries through immigration and tourism.

        Nowadays, it’s complicated to cross over the bordes of America with Trump’s immigration policy, but it hasn’t always been the same case.

        I would like to create 2 mains questions . what are the reasons of immigration Does Immigration be a good or a bad think ?

First, we’ll see that USA was a host country for immigrants. In a second time, the reasons of this immigration wave. And finally, the consequences of this immigration.

The first document that we have studied is « The cover of American magazine called Times. Judging from headlines and the features of this woman, the document deals with American immigration . We understand that this woman represents the mix of different ethnics groups who live in US .So, America has been shaped by immigrants.

In the second document, America is presented as a nation of Nation. The figures of immigrants have always increased above all in 1965 . A the beginning the majority of immigrants was people from Europe. Now, we have seen more and more people arrived from  asian and latin America.

All these immigrants have searched a better life in America .They have think that they could earn more money and be more happy . Life seems to be easier.

They have arrived in America in order to :

-graduate because in America there are the most prestigious universities in the ivy league university.

-to fulfill their dreams due to American dream where everything could be achieved , for exemple: create his own shop to be better paid, become a professional dancer.

-America is also a country for people who has fled his home for political reasons.  They can feel like stranger but in reality they feel very confortable and accepted due to the success of the melting pot .

We have seen a specific video about the importance of american dream .A man presents his story : he arrives in America  to work and after a period of time he was able « to put bread on the table » , this means that it is a success  . For him american dream is important and still a topic of actuality .

From my point of view, American immigration is a strong point  because the blending develops the country in terms of economy and culture . I think that without immigration, the US will not be where it is now .

The curent tendency in America is to limite the immigration and I think that it is a failure because the country is deprived of openness and potential talent .
