Lieu et Forme du pouvoir.
i am going to talk about the place and forms of power and their impact. In the first place i would like give a definition of the notion "places", it could be a important buildings or institutions that represents a important form of power, for example Buckingham palace, a symbol of the British monarchy or the white house a symbol of the American presidency.
The word "power" is the capacity to exercise control or authority over others. It can be a person, a group or a nation having a great influence over people.
This of course leads to conflict between those who have power and those who don't have it.
we can ask ourselves the following questions: how does power come to crush groups and in people in history and nowadays? and do you get around this power?
In order to illustrate this notion i have chosen to talk about the 60's period and the movie Whiplash.
The sixties is a périod of conflict, the world discovered the sounds of liberty : Rock’n roll, and many people decided to put freedom in their lives, this is the cause of the birth of Anti-Establishment contrary to the Establishment, The « old school ».
The documents we have studied in class to explain the notion is the trailer to the movie « Pirate Radio ». In this movie the quote of the anti-establishment is « young men and young women will always dreams and put those dreams into songs » and this persons have placed a radio on a boat and travel thesz english coast in international water in order to disseminate songs of liberty. The principal activity of the anti-establishment his to partying and Dancing, on the contrary the establishment composed of Politicians, British government political and social elite their goal is to ban the song of liberty ( The rock and roll ) of the radio .
This document explains the notion of power because the power is represented for the Establishment and the opposition is the Anti-Establishment.
For the second document, I would like to read you a quote from Christopher Reeve « A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite obstacles » Whisplash is a Damien Chazelle’s movie, the criticals said that it is a very good movie who touched peoples. In this Movie, Andrew trains to become the best drummer in his school and he will be train to by the most influential and known teachers of this school, Mister Fletcher. Fletcher is a terrifying, commanding figure throughout the film. Andrew will demonstrate determination and perseverance for reach the very high expectations of his teacher, he will even be forced to shed his blood and become anti-social. The spectator discovered into the movie a sadistic teacher because Fletcher believes that greats musicians can only be forged in tests of fears and torments, he says that he’s just trying to get the best out of the best. Andrew will end up leaving school by force and give up is drummer's dream before taking revenge on Fletcher.
This Documents explain the notion of power because the power is represented by Mister Fletcher and the opposition is Andrew and other student .
I totally agree with the idea to the opposition of power because everyone has the right to be free without being oppressed by others
Idée de Progrès.
The notion I’m going to deal is the idea of progress. In first i would like to give a definition of the idea of progress. The idea of progress can be defined as an improvement, a development or a change – a technical, scientific or social advance which contributes to making the world a better place.
The following questions may be asked: How are voluntary acts between countries the path of ideas and progress? to illustrate this notion we will talk about the project EVS propose by European commision in close collaboration with the European Union
The EVS project includes the movement of the Erasmus group that allows students to study abroad. EVS attached to Erasmus +, the extension of Erasmus, because the goal of the project is not to send students abroad but to offer volunteers to carry out acts of voluntarism throughout Europe. Erasmus+ Volunteering Activities help young people travel abroad to participate in volunteering projects. we can ask the question: what voluntary activities are people responsible for? everything depends on the mission but as says the EVS site: As a volunteer, you commit yourself to the work of an organisation
