Idea of progress

I’m going to talk about the notion of progress.

First of all I would like to give a definition of the notion of progress. The idea of progress can be defined as en improvement, a development or a change – a technical, scientific or social advance which contributes to making the world a better place.

I would like to illustrate this notion using the theme of « Smart homes ». I have chosen two documents. To my mind, the documents that seem to best illustrate the notion are a video and an article.

The two documents speak about smart homes. The first document, the video shows using of smart homes in great contraru to the second document, the article which shows the problems of smart homes.

In the  video, the woman explain what is the smart home and show the interet.

In the article, the author write and speak about problems of smart home and the disadvantages .

In video : The woman approves of smart homes is greater convenience because it’s easy and quick to usewith tablets, smartphones to distance.

In article : The author criticizes the smart homes. For him, smart home could be bad because we will not have privacy.

There is a relationship between video and article and the notion of progress because smart homes is a invention of future but the article is bad and disagree to this whereas the video is agree to this.

I’m well aware that smart home is great to controls all devices in home and it simplifies the life mode but we must not forget that no privacy with smart home owing to Google Plus which always present in all devices whereof in pivate life.
