In historiography, the Idea of Progress is the theory that advances in technology, science, and social organization inevitably produce an improvement in the human condition. That is, people can become happier in terms of quality of life through economic development

Is scientific progress always with the service of the man?

First, We initially try to analyze the reasons which led to the current reconsideration of the idea of progress, then we examine their repercussions on the place and the perception of modern science.

To begin with scientific progress is the name given to the development of the scientific knowledge. The idea of progress which often rises from the technoscience, in particular because as of consequences of the human activity on the climate. Today, the generalized use of simulations, modelings and scenarios in all the scientific disciplines change the statute of the experiment and reality.

Nevertheless It could be well that the word progress, which only summarizes with him our desire with a future, was not invented that to comfort us escape of time: “Time passes, certainly, but it passes better and better… ”.
