I chose this article because the situation with ISIS throughout the last few years has really impacted a large group of people, and after not hearing much about it the past few months it interested me to look into it more. Mahmoud Saeed, an Iraqi author returns to his hometown of Mosul, Iraq. After the major destructions, the city unrecognizable and in ruins. 500 buildings destroyed and 900 000 people have been removed from their homes.
In July, this year victory in the city against the extremists was declared after 8 mouths of fighting.
Now free from ISIS, the city must rebuild not only the city but the trust of its citizens.
