How are we going to succeed in changing things?

Hello,

First of all, I would like to thank you all for placing your trust in me. I promise you that things are going to move and I will try by all means to make Detroit a lively and attractive city again.

Today, I am going to share with you my intentions and achievable projects for the city.

We all know that Detroit has been through some tough times. On July 18, 2013, the City of Detroit was declared bankrupt. For years, it has accumulated a debt that has become unpayable. As a result, the population decreased and the city was gradually abandoned. We have the image of Detroit, like an abandoned city, burnt buildings, a deserted city... But that will change.

That's why I ran for election, this story touched me and I intend to make this city attractive again.

Dear citizen, I therefore intend to talk to you about some projects that we will be able to implement in the years to come.

How are we going to succeed in changing things?

Do you think Detroit can become an attractive city again?

Personally I believe in it and thanks to you it can move.

As a citizen, I had heard about some of the projects that have been started. We will therefore continue and enrich them.

Creating footpaths, involving a few artists, planting... are ways to give the city a second chance. Several projects have been started, such as: revitalization project, making visible the Gordie Howe Bridge, the expansion of the Motown Museum, making the Migichan Central Station more lively, creating new buildings, parks, housing, innovation centers, green paths. Or community projects, such as associations of music classes.

Investing in the city is the only way to give life back to Detroit. Citizen, I am counting on you!

I also think that if we created a site for the city, where we would share the news, the progress of the city, it would make it more visible. It would create more attractiveness and it would encourage people to come and visit the city.

After this speech, when you come out, I will leave a box, where you can put some ideas for the city.

So if you have any ideas, go ahead, now is the time!!!!

In spite of the difficulties, the city has found solutions to make the city more attractive. Little by little, it is starting to attract people again, that's why we have to continue these efforts to reach our goal: TO FIND THE CITY BEFORE!

I need you for this and I am counting on you.

You will see Detroit will become the most attractive and lively city in the United States!
