Presentation

Fort Lauderdale is a city in the USA. The city is located north America. It is principal city in the “Miami metropolitan area”. The city is also the county seat of Broward County. The population was estimated in 2017 at 180’072. Fort Lauderdale is also known as “The Venice of America”. The city counts more than 4’000 restaurants, 12 malls, 278 parks, 132 nightclubs and many more.

Geography

F.L is located north of Miami in the peninsula of Florida. The city skirts the Atlantic coast for 11 kilometers. The total area of the city of 99.9 km2 including 90.7 km2 of land and 9.8 km2 of water points. F.L is the biggest city in all Browatd County

Flights

We will leave by plan at the Geneva airport at 9:20 a.m. We will do a first 8 hours and 45 minutes before our stop at Newark for 2 hours. Then we have our other plan at 2 p.m. and we’ll get directly at destination at 5 p.m.

For the flight back, we will leave 2 p.m. We’ll have to do two stops, the first one in Washington for 1 hour and half, and the second one at Zürich for again 1 hour and half. The flight between Washington and Zürich is a night flight. So, we’ll get there the next day at 08:00 a.m. Finally, we’ll have the plan to Geneva at 9:30 a.m. and we’ll arrive at 10:20 a.m.

Hotel

We’ll stay at the Link Hotel Sunrise. It’s located next to the center, at approximately 2 kilometers. It only takes 15 minutes by bus to get to the center. All the activities planned on this trip are also very close to our hotel. In the hotel there is a swimming pool, a gym, and also a spa. Plus, they offer us a transfer from the airport with of their mini bus.

1.Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale

The first day we’ll go for a walk at the Riverwalk. It’s a path who’s along the river. The view is really beautiful and it is a great way to see little bit of the city center. As it is a walk along the river the activity is free.

1.The Galleria

In the afternoon we’ll go shopping in the Galleria. This mall is one of the best of South Florida. You can find more than 150 brands and services inside it; like Apple, Sephora, Abercrombie & Fitch, H&M and so on.

1.Ocean 2000

Ocean 2000 is a brand-new waterfront restaurant in the Pelican Grand Beach Resort. In the menu they propose new American. The restaurant also prepares vegetarian and vegan meal. After eating we could sit in “The Lounge”, a patio in the front of the ocean, with a stunning view.

2.Fort Lauderdale Beach

On the second day we’ll spend the morning at the Beach. After the breakfast we’ll leave for the Fort Lauderdale Beach who’s one of the six beaches in the city. We’ll stay until we’ll go have lunch.

2.Hugh Taylor Birch State Park

We’ll eat a picnic at the Hugh Taylor Birch State Park and we’ll spend the rest of the afternoon in the park. The park is big, there is a lot to see, animals, trees etc...

2.Taxi Water

On the evening we’ll do a ride in special taxi who’s in the water. It’s a half hour ride that will show us a lot of the city by night. It coasts 5.- per person and 20 if we want to eat during the traject.
