This thursday, the 9th of februay, two men and a woman were found near the Bahamas, on a tiny islet, following a wreck that append 33 days earlier.

The 3 cuban castaways boat sinked underwater but fortunately the passengers were able to swim to an island they were close to, safe and sound.

The castaways were able to survive thanks to an incredible cold blood and a good knowledge of the wildlife. They were able to survive more than a month eating coconuts, rats and conch. The 3 crusoés also built a makeshift shelter in a cave, were they were safe from rain at night, and heat at daytime, because of humidity.

When the friends were finally found by Mike Allert, an helicopter pilot while his patrol, completely dehydrated, shaking a flag made of their clothes.

The pilot's team threw them food and water from the helicopter, wich was already full, and came back the day after in order to rescue them.

The operation went fine and the 3 survivors currently live in the immigration service of Pompano beach, without any harm.

I think this story is incredible, and it feels like it could be a film plot.

I am also impressed by the survival knowledge of the castaways who were able to survive on a unexplored island for so long.

This subject belongs to axis 7 : diversity and inclusion, and it shows well to the world the distress of people in difficulty, forced to risk their own lives in order to live properly.

I thought this subject was interesting because it feels like a real film or serie plot that seems incredible at first but is in fact true. I also choosed this subject because it expose imigration problems wich is a subject wich is close to my heart and important nowadays.
