Places and forms of power (Lieux et formes de pouvoir) :

The notion i'm going to deal with is the idea of progress of places and forms of power.

Power is at once a source of political, social and personal integration and reflects the tensions and conflicts that exist in communities. It is exercised through a network of complex relationships, forced or accepted. Access to power, by peaceful means or by forces, triggers passions and rivalries. There are classic forms of power (government palaces, democratic assemblies) but there are also more hidden forms of power. Language or visual communication (social network / painting) are two powerful tools.

The subject of my oral presentation will be : The size of the money in the world because I think today for a lot of people money is a source of power, for them money talks.

For work on my theme, I chose three documents : in the first place we will study  a text called « Welcome in the 21st century » written by Gavin ESLER in 2005 (two thousand five) which tells the story about a corporate lawyer who diverted money into a Czech corporate. And in second time we will study a event called « We are the 99% » wich denounce the economic inequalities between the elites (1%) and the rest of the citizens of the United States (99%) and to finish we will study a document about « Google ».

We are going to ask ourselves what is the power of money today in the world

We will start by seeing how money makes big innovations happen and secondly we will see the bad side of the monney.
