Gabrielle Chanel, known as "Coco Chanel", born in 1883, is a fashion designer,
a great French dressmaker famous for her haute couture creations, and was the first seamstress to launch her own perfumes. She is at the origin of the house of Chanel, "the symbol of French elegance". A pioneer (success story) in the clothing sector, she has spent her entire career at the head of one of the biggest icons in cosmetics.
She has contributed greatly to the animation of the fashion scene, and women find in her creations a different touch from what the couturiers of the moment were proposing. By popularizing a new style of clothing, Gabrielle Chanel has succeeded in introducing a new way of discovering femininity.
