First and foremost, robots can replace human beings for dangerous and monotorous or repetitive tasks.
For instance :
-robots could work on nuclear plants or defuse bombs in the place of humans.
-They can't be sick so they can work 24/7 and boost the productivity of a company.
In addition :
-they can replace man for difficult and long surgery as they are more precise/accurate.
-they can also take over household chores at home : some vacuuming robots and lawn mowers are already on the market.
Last but not least : robots could be useful to look after children or mentally sick people thus enabling people to have more free time for hobbies, relaxing or resting.
In Japan, some robotic devices help disabled people such as the blind and the elderly.
