Jasu knows if he lets Kavita with the baby, she will develop some feelings for her. But Kavita is deeply exhausted and on the edge of crying. He doesn't want to see her burst into tears ever again. They've already lost one child.

He tells her in a gravelly voice "I know how hard it can be for you.. I'll let you the child for one night, and only one night. After that, we must move forward. Think straight. I hope you'll see and take the right path."

He puts his hand on Kavita's hand for a minute, and then he walks away with an excruciating face, not trying to hide his feelings anymore. Kavita yells with her cracked voice "Thank you so much!" to her husband. Even if he hates this, he smirks back at her, and close the door.

Kavita tightens her child deeper and started to cry. She shivers the whole night and starts to think about the awful reality. She knows the result. But this choice is so arduous. A mother mustn't have to manage this. Not even twice. She feels soulless. She looks through the small and dirty window and sees the sunlight. It's already the morning, she hasn't slept. How could she? She gazes her child and starts to be really sorrowful. She is searching what she didn't do right. It was obviously her fault. Perhaps she was a dreadful believer, and God wanted to punish her for her sins? "It's probably that. I need to apologize, to be forgiven. I'm so sorry my Lord"  whispers Kavita to herself.

One second later, the door opens roughly. It was him, Jasu. Kavita's eyes instantly started to be wet. "So.. this is really happening? This is how the world is ending?" Said Kavita with a wobbly voice. Jasu sighed "I've told you, it wasn't a good idea to keep the baby for a night. Now you're deeply attached to her. It'll be devastating for you t-" Kavita interrupts him "What if.. What if we keep her! I'll promise even if it's hard, we can make it together, we can, we can...." She screams for a whole minute, shaking her hands on her head. She raises the head and gazes her husband "I know.. I know.. This is how our world is working.. And I can't do anything against that.. I'm barely breathing.. Take her! Take her, now or never. I'll never forgive myself for this.. It'll let me a nasty scar on the bottom of my heart. But I am alive, at least"

Jasu feels horrified by her words. He takes a long breath, his hands are shaking. He moves toward the child. He must do that. They can't afford to have a second child. Or they'll be all starving. Yes, it's that. He's doing the right choice. For his family, for her. Jasu takes the child in his hands. He thinks how gorgeous this child is. "No! Don't think about that, just do what you need to do!" he says to himself. He closes his eyes for few seconds and says to Kavita. "I'll come back in one hour, without her. It's your last goodbye" and opens the door. Kavita tries to say something, but her mouth can't pronounce a straight word. Jasu closes the door and runs with the baby. He's crying like a child. After fifteen minutes, he sees the village's well. He opens it, slowly. While he's screaming he throws the kid in. His heart stopped to beat for a while. What does he has done!? He sits down and can't think straight. He starts to become insane. It's the second time he did that. It's too much for his own brain.
