Now we know that ThanksGiving and the Black Friday are related. The black Friday comes every time afer thanksgiving. In the US The Black Friday is always after the fourth Thursday of november. For The Quebec it’s always after the second Thursday of october.

As we know, most workers took a day off the day after Thanksgiving, to enjoy a 4-day family weekend. The first appearance of the name Black Friday appeared in 1951.

The bosses, annoyed, used this term to designate a complicated Friday to manage for companies.

According to another hypothesis, the term was used in the 1960s by the Philadelphia police. Every Friday, the inhabitants of the city crowded in the shops to enjoy exceptional promotions, a few weeks before Christmas. Crowd movements, crowded shops, monster traffic jams… Law enforcement was overwhelmed and referred to the day as “Black Friday”.

It is also said that, thanks to the discounts applied on Friday after Thanksgiving, merchants' books of accounts changed from red (deficit) to black (profit), hence the expression “Black Friday”.

In principle, Black Friday is really worth it, because it is a commercial event that is, above all, synonymous with promotions. the most important advantage: the promotions offered during Black Friday are very interesting and this is what attracts many customers to the shops every year. Merchants take the opportunity to empty their stocks so they can replenish with new collections as the holidays approach: a unique opportunity to benefit from unbeatable offers that often surpass those of sales. This is an effective way to buy what you need (or simply to please yourself) without breaking the bank, in this sense Black Friday is worth it. Black Friday takes place every year at the end of November. It can be worth shopping for the holidays without breaking the bank: Christmas gifts, festive attire, table decorations… All these essential items for the end of the year add up quickly and can end up costing you.
