aaa Barack Hussein Obama II, commonly known simply as Barack Obama, born August 4, 1961 in Honolulu (Hawaii) is an American statesman. He is the current and 44th president of the United States, elected to a first term 4 November 2008 and re-elected on November 6, 2012. The son of a black Kenyan and a white American of Irish descent Kansas, it is the first African-American who assumed the US presidency. His career has generated among voters as in the media worldwide great interest. Born in Hawaii, raised several years in Indonesia, a graduate of Columbia University and Harvard Law School, he is, in 1990, the first African American to chair the prestigious Harvard Law Review, historic event in a country has experienced racial segregation until the 1960s After the social worker, specifically "community organizer" (community organizer in English) in the south Side of Chicago in the 1980s, and civil lawyer on leaving Harvard, he taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago from 1992 to 2004.

Barack Obama entered politics in 1996, he was elected to the Illinois Senate, where he performs three terms from 1997 to 2004. Barack Obama notably distinguished by his early opposition to the Iraq war launched by George W. On 9 October 2009, he received the Nobel Peace Prize. During his first term, Obama enacts such a stimulus package in February 2009, the law on tax relief, renewal of authorization of insurances stoppages and job creation, the one on the protection of patients and affordable care and reform of financial regulation in 2010.
