Pourvu qu’on ne soit pas libre.1 - Does technology threaten our privacy?
- It is hard to say no because in a certain way it does but I think the real threat to peoples privacy is not really
the technology or the services it's the people who use it.
- What I mean is that… a lot of people use different services on the internet or on their
smartphone and are ready to give a lot of informations without any real knowledge of what this company
is doing with these informations.
- To prove my point, just recently, I don't know if you saw it but there was a big scandal in the US about the fact that
company like Facebook & Google were sharing informations about their users and their behaviours with the NSA.
but … when you take time to read a little bit about these companies it is clearly written that they collects every bits of informations
about theirs users like the posts, or any media and their behaviours and once these informations are in their possession you
can't do nothing against it …
Despite all the negative points about technology and privacy I think there is some good to it.
Like in England they installed street cam in the neighbourhood where violence and crimes were recurrent and they
rapidly saw a decreased in the crimes rates … in that sort of use of technology I don't see any problems.
At the end, if people don't want their privacy threaten they should just be more aware of what they
sign up for and how much of personal informations are they ready to share.
6 - Is too much or too little technology in our schools?
- Definitely not enough, I think my point of view on the subject might be a bit radical but nothing has change
in decades … I think teaching and school programs in general should be kind of rebuild from the ground up
to basically only rely on technology.
if ask why -> well because I think we live in a world that pretty soon will mostly work with technology
and school should follow that trend as well.
- They already missed the chance to incorporate computer in every class rooms and they still haven't catch up
with it and right now they are still missing the new era with the tablets and smartphone.
- I don't think you can replace a teacher with technologies because there's no way a computer can stimulate and
dictate the learning process of an entire class …
