"Positive psychology" is revolutionary in that it focuses on what makes people happy. Its objective is to develop the capacity to love and be loved , to give meaning to our actions , to be responsible for what we can change , to be resilient that we cannot avoid. The international research program on the ability of Tibetan monks to fill with positive emotions is a beautiful illustration of this new psychology. By practice, they can radically transform the state of their brain to more serenity and compassion. They show that it is possible to train the brain to an extraordinary happiness.
For those of us who will never be monks , the first major study of positive psychology open more easily passable perspectives: they ask us , for example, noted in a newspaper ( at least once a week ) the events more positive than we have experienced and how we have helped .
