Homeless Olympic Games

So we decided to organize a competition for homeless people around the world. For this event we chose the Olympics principaly because it is a huge event that everyone know, moreover this competition is composed of many kinds of sports so everybody can feel involved.

Those facts will certainly help us to find volunteers and to attract the assiociations, which daly help homeless, to work with us.

Why sports.?

Firstly the Olympic Games will use the power of sport to energise homeless people so they can change their own lives.

Secondly this event allows to the homeless people to be involved in something and moreover, in a team, which is certainly very important for them.

Why Olympic Games.?

Mainly for its values:

Like Pierre de Coubertain sayed "The important is not to win but to participate" . That is why we thought that it could be interresting to organize an Olympic event for homeless people.

Secondly they all participate as teams:

In fact even if most of the tests are individuals, they all participate as national teams. So they communicate together and build relatioships with others, they become teammates, learning to trust and share.

How can it help them.?

By giving to homeless people responsabilites all over the year. In fact they have to attend every weeks training sessions and games, to be on time and prepared to participate.

They finally can feel part of something, because as we know, most of them are nomore in contact with their family.

Trying to giving them a healthier lifestyle with the weekly training sessions and by giving them lifestyle rules.

Finally this event will try to show them that sport can be the way to reintegrate themselves in the society.

Homeless Olympic Games is a social organization with the goal of ending through sport. The organization hopes that engaging homeless people in sport will encourage them to change their own lives and develop solutions to worldwide homelessness.

Who ?

Homeless Olympic Games permits at 250 000 homeless people across 70 nations to participate trough 30 sports

Where?

The first Olympic Games will take place in Paris, France.

When?

From the 3rd to the 18th August
