Scientific Spirituality

Oftentimes people do not seem to realize that spirituality is so much more than a bunch of bald Asian dudes wearing an orange robe. It is one of the oldest and possibly the highest form of science. Every argument in this paper are built from my own spiritual practices and scientific literacy. I have not received formal higher education in any of these fields so my words should be taken with a grain of salt.

About unconditional love

One thing the spiritual community talks about a lot is unconditional love. This may seem counterintuitive to the common man because obviously there are dangers everywhere. Light without shadow is invalid. Well first of all, light does not cast a shadow. Light is also both matter and energy. Every «thing» in our universe possesses energy, from the biggest of stars to the smallest of particles. Energy is often described as the  abstract concept required for movement to be possible. In the infinitely small quantum realm however, energy is so much more; energy is what defines something, it is information. As I have explained in my oral presentation, all energy can be roughly represented with a wave, vibrations. Contrary to public belief, waves are incredibly complex and can take on a nigh-infinite range of shapes and sizes (patterns and amplitudes) . In the case of sound, those properties of the waves travelling through air that makes what we can hear. In studies from the scientific field of cymatics, fine particles of sand subjected to sound vibrations consistently create intricate and mathematical patterns. This is the simplest proof that vibrations can rearrange particles. This arrangement is basically called information and it explains for example why graphite isn't diamond although they are both made from carbon atoms ( it's actually a lot more complicated with things about spins, momentum, and position). In the universe information decides everything and since matter is the same as energy ( again covered in the oral presentation), everything in this universe is information. As far as we know, particles are intrinsically connected to every other particle through information. For modern quantum physicist, this is exactly what makes quantum computing so effective. For our spiritual purposes though this is simply scientific proof that all is one. I think this is a pretty legitimate reason to love unconditionally, or to spread communism (you do you, we won’t judge).

The Matrix might have been a documentary

As I have stated in the previous entry, information is also vibration. Everything in the universe is exchanging information except maybe for black holes, theorized to be the universe’s most effective memory devices. The human body can manipulate five forms of information that represent five senses. Through the course of time , our senses were engineered to interpret specific frequencies of vibration. For example, our eyes can pick up electromagnetic frequencies ranging from about 400 to 800 THz, for what is called visible light. Certain species of snakes can see into the infrared range of electromagnetic spectrum, in exchange they cannot see certain colors that have higher vibration. Your brain interprets the vibration data it receives into the world you perceive. It also dictates certain commands to your body using electrical signals, vibration code. Computers also function with vibration codes, there's only difference between a brain and a computer: the computer has an input and output of electrical vibration well the brain can receive all sorts of vibration stimuli (5). As demonstrated with quantum computing, computers have the potential to both receive input and emit output in pure information. Just what tells us that an advanced alien civilization hasn't reach that stage of development already? Can we be certain that the vibrations our brains get are from the actual world and not an advanced quantum computer server? Whether this is real or not, I think it is I'm pretty good reasons to pursue whatever makes you happiest (just in case the aliens consider pulling the plug).

How believing is seeing

Interpreting vibration information is extremely grueling for the brain. This is why the brain has developed many energy saving protocols. They hit show Brain Games actually points out the energy-saving protocols to you , it is interesting. One of the main things our brain does to save energy is interpreting a current situation based on power past assumptions on reality. Scientists have done a study on the himba tribe in Africa. This tribe head about 26 words for the color green but none for the color blue and scientists wanted to see what that did and the results were surprising.

The circle of colored squares on the left was shown to the tribespeople who are asked to identify which square was different. They didn't even ask the test subjects to identify the stood out, just which one. Most people in canada know that the square is blue and it's different because we know what blue is and we believe it to be a real color. None of the tribes people could identify the square that stood out, this can only mean that because they didn't believe in blue, they didn't see the blue. So maybe there are wonderful things happening at every instant around us and we failed to notice because we don't believe in them. Even though our senses perceive everything, our brain cannot interpret into reality what we do not know have a name for. The public tends to think the world is getting worse yet statistically it is not so basing myself on this study, I can safely say that the media has led us to believe there is only violence out there and it is the only thing we see because it is the only thing we believe in. Scientifically speaking, the fact that 10^10^70 ( number of possible quantum states in a cubic meter) possible patterns of information have somehow resulted in «me» is nothing short of a miracle. And just by the way, the himba tribe people could identify the different colored square in the  circle on the right right within a few seconds. Having 26 names for green, they probably strongly believe in it. As awareness is heightened in people on the spiritual path, they often report witnessing supernatural events or beings. Maybe the talk about angels, demons and mystical creatures weren’t completely crazy delusions from people seeking attention. It is entirely possible that these people gain the ability to perceive things with higher vibrational frequencies and couldn't find better words to describe it. I have discussed this with my class but there's a possibility that we haven't had any contact with aliens because they function on a different frequency level.
